This is just an absolutely beautiful & adorable Power Girl Wardrobe Malfunction!!

The original line art by the talented Ryan Kinnaird :iconryankinnaird:
If you want to see it w/o color: [link]

I added color ... because I couldn't resist! I just had to see this one in color! :D

:+fav: If you like it please leave comments. :typerhappy:

If you don't know what "the Watchtower" is, then you're not enough of a comic fan(atic) ... [link] .
==================================
1st Update 4/11/09: Upon reading some suggestions here I decided to revisit this. I decided to smooth out the sketch lines on the skin & costume. I was reminded of a Wonder Woman image that Ryan K. had sketched [link] & then colored [link] himself, and I thought I'd use that as a guide. (version 1 can be seen here: [link] )
------------------------------------------------------------------------
2nd Update 4/14/09: I made the hair look a little more like hair (less like yellow crayon). Fixed some background border issues that were bothering me. And added a "?" to the text as was suggested. (version 2 can be seen here if desired: [link] )
------------------------------------------------------------------------
3rd Update 4/17/09: I made some modifications to the face shading.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
4th Update 5/15/09: I removed the white border that was on two sides (I don't know why I didn't do that earlier). I also darkened the over all image, and added a little more texture to the rocks. For comparison: [link] (that was just before this update).

I would assume that's why her cape string wraps around her like that. If push comes to shove she could always spin it around and cover herself.

Shhhhh!!!!!
That's a great idea ... but I hope she never gets wise to it!! It's much more fun to see her wonderful bosoms exposed! :strip:

Don't worry, knowing her it's probably all thin see-through. Actually, you should probably draw her trying that.

Fantastic work as always powerbook125. Only critique I have to offer is towards her hair and face (yes, I managed to look up long enough to notice some small problems). One, her nose and cheeks seem to look lighter in color than the rest of her face. Two, her hair has white in it.

Well, the lighter color on her nose & cheeks is on purpose ... I wanted to give those areas highlights so that the face didn't seem flat. (If you noticed it, and not in a good way, perhaps I didn't do as good a job as I should have). Same thing with the "white" in the hair, I was meaning to give it highlights, so as to add depth & reality to the hair.

It worked for the cheeks, and the hair. It's just the nose looks like she put a wee bit too much make up on it. Although, having looked at it again I realize it only bugs me when I full view it...

I did a complete rework of the shading on the face. Have a look & tell me what you think. It was hard to figure out how to shade the nose since there wasn't much in the way of lines there. Anyway, I think it looks better now.

It's much better. You can see the nose even without the extra lines. Well done.

Thanks. :D Well, I gave the nose a little extra definition (not with lines, but with shading). If you want you can compare the current pic with the b/w to see what I added.

That's cool, I have just found the original B&W drawing through an email and loved it. My immediate thought was also "Frak! I bet Powerbook would get even more out of this cool drawing." And now, just a few minutes later I see that you were faster than my thoughts: If this isn't a great start into the morning then I don't know what else to say :P

Anyway, that coloration rocks. You have beaten the hell out of those B&W colors. PG now shines in all her glory I hope, I really do hope that Diana will not be able to help her with this one ^^

I think a coloring artist should be given the freedom of making any changes needed to make the drawing look more realistic. For me this includes the lights, smoothness, background and of course the color itself.

Well, I'm glad you thought of me when you saw it. I would hope that if I hadn't already colored it you would have let me know of the image, since you knew I would like it! :D
Glad you like it. :)

Wow! I read those words a few times over, spent all that time coloring and revising this image, and I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out! I even put a question mark in my title of the image! (had to shorten to "Malf" 'cause dA is limiting our creativity by limiting the title length ... sorry, I had to vent about that again!)
I guess my attention was ... umm ... elsewhere! ;)

Nice coloring as always. Hope you don't mind me saying, but i think the hair color could use a bit more..well..color. it's a faded yellow, i think you could go with a bit more of a solid yellow. Don't you agree?

I think the code is a "Code of Silence" ... as seen in this pic [link]
When it happens (and goes unnoticed) then nobody says "Hey, you're popping out!" I mean why ruin it for the rest of us? ;)
